Personal Development
In their weekly Personal Development lessons, students are provided with a safe space for developing knowledge, skills and values in a way that closely and accurately consider the current issues relating to their lives and the wider world that they live in. A programme outline is included below:
Main Skills Developed
Through their Personal Development lessons, students will acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to confidently manage their lives, both now and in the future as responsible British Citizens. They will learn how to make informed decisions and identify and manage some of the risks and challenges that they may face.
How can parents help to support learning?
Keep an open dialogue with your son/daughter about some of the challenges and risks that they may be facing and explore their fears and worries. If you think that further support is needed, please contact the students’ tutor or Head of Year.
