Ski Trip 2023
Lavarone, Italy - Ski Trip 2023
The Physical Education Department is arranging a skiing trip to Lavarone, Italy. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to develop a new and exciting skill, experience a different environment and climate, show resilience, and develop self-confidence.

Art & Textiles
Yorkshire Sculpture Park - Year 7 & Year 8
The Art Department is arranging an educational visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to explore the artwork and sculptures which are on display on the grounds of the park.
Places have been confirmed by text message to all students who have returned their forms. Unsuccessful students have been added to a waiting list. Please can any remaining payments be paid by Sunday 21st November 2021 at the latest.

Art V & A London Trip - Year 10
The Art Department is arranging an educational visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to view the 'Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature' exhibition. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to view the amazing original artwork created by Beatrix Potter.
Unfortunately this trip has been cancelled. In its place, students have been offered a place on a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum to view the 'Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear' exhibition.
Textiles V & A London Trip - Year 10
The Art Department is arranging an educational visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to view the 'Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear' exhibition. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to view the work of many successful menswear Fashion Designers.

Robin Hood's Bay Trip - Year 12
The Art Department is arranging an education visit to Robin Hood's Bay. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to explore the historic coastal village which is rich in character charm and inspiration.
Careers
Hull University - Year 9
The Careers Department is arranging an educational visit to the University of Hull. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to learn more about universities and the concept of university. They will gain an insight into the life of a university student.

Gold Duke of Edinburgh Practice Expedition (Yorkshire Wolds Way)
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is arranging a visit to Yorkshire Wolds Way to undertake the Gold D of E Practice Expedition. This should give the students and excellent opportunity to hone their skills and will prepare them for their qualifying expedition in the summer.
Gold Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition (Yorkshire Wolds Way)
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is arranging a visit to Yorkshire Wolds Way to undertake the Gold D of E Qualifying Expedition. This should give the students and excellent opportunity to display their campcraft, endurance, map-reading and compass skills.
Engineering
Operation Vulcan - Year 10
The Engineering Department is arranging an educational visit to the South Yorkshire Air Museum. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to take part in Operation Vulcan, an exciting competition where students will design part of the display for the planned Vulcan Aircraft Museum at Doncaster Airport.
Operation Vulcan Judging - Year 10
The Engineering Department is arranging an educational visit to CBE+. To carry out the final judging for the Project Vulcan competition that they have been working so hard on. This will be an excellent opportunity to see an Engineering workplace and interact with employers.
Forest School
Summer Half Term - J Band - Year 7 (Wednesday)
As part of the Forest School Programme, we are arranging a visit to Thorne Community Woods. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to get involved with a number of activities such as den making, making fires and using tools to do some felling/thinning of trees.

Geography
Gibraltar Point, Skegness - Year 12 & Year 13
The Geography Department is arranging a visit to Gibraltar Point a nature reserve near Skegness. This should give our students an excellent opportunity to explore coastal processes and water movement to support both examination and coursework elements of the course.
Hornsea and Mappleton - Year 12
The Geography Department is arranging a visit to Hornsea and Mappleton along the Holderness Coast. This should give our students an excellent opportunity to explore coastal processes and management to support both examination and coursework elements of the course.
Leavers Event
As a reward for their hard work and commitment we have arranged a leavers' visit to Alton towers and a garden party. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to celebrate their time together after 7 years at Trinity.
Modern Foreign Languages
France Trip 2022 - Year 9 & Year 10
The Modern Foreign Languages Department is arranging an educational visit to France. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to support their French studies for GCSE, giving the students an opportunity to practice their French in a country where it's spoken and to learn about French history, culture and food.
Places have been confirmed by text message to all students who have returned their forms. Please can any remaining deposits be paid by Friday 12th November 2021 at the latest.
The France Parents' Evening will be held on Wednesday 8th June 2022. The details in the letter below are of the utmost urgency, as any missing paperwork will mean that you child will be unable to travel.

Flying Futures - Year 7 to Year 10
The Pastoral Department is arranging an education visit to Flying Futures which is a non-profit community interest company. This will give the students an excellent opportunity to engage in the 'Chances' programme for 10 weeks to develop their leadership abilities.

Bowling Reward - Year 9
The Pastoral Department is arranging a rewards visit to Doncaster Ten Pin Bowling. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to celebrate outstanding attendance and no negative behaviour.
Ice Skating - Year 8
The Pastoral Department is arranging a rewards visit to Doncaster Dome. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to celebrate outstanding attendance.

Leeds College of Music - Year 12 & Year 13
The Performing Arts Department are arranging an educational visit to the Leeds College of Music for a Performing Arts Careers Fair. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to explore potential higher education courses and career opportunities.
Carmen - Year 12
The Performing Arts Department are arranging an educational visit to Opera North, Leeds. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to watch a modern representation of the opera Carmen by Bizet.
Wicked - Year 10 & Year 11
The Performing Arts Department is arranging an educational visit to see Wicked at the Victoria Apollo Theatre, London. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to see a piece of live theatre which gives context to their GCSE specification.
Royal Opera House - Year 11 & Year 12
The Performing Arts Department is arranging an educational visit to see La Traviata at the Royal Opera House, London. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to visit one of the most celebrated Opera Houses to see a responsive piece of live theatre, La Traviata.
Senior Choir Hill House Visit
The Performing Arts Department is arranging an educational visit to take Phonix (Senior Choir) to Hill House to compete in the Robing Hood Music and Drama Festival. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents in the community and perform with like-minded musicians.
Physical Education
English Football League Girls Cup Competition - Year 7 & Year 8
The PE Department is participating in the English Football League Girls Cup at the Keepmoat Stadium. This will give the students an excellent opportunity to represent Trinity Academy and test their football skills against other district secondary schools.
English Football League Girls Cup Final Competition - Year 7 & Year 8
After qualifying from the rounds of the English Football League Girls Cup our students will now represent Trinity in the regional final of this event at The Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster. This will give the students an excellent opportunity to play football at the home of Doncaster Rovers and experience the match day atmosphere.
English Football League Girls Area Cup Competition - Year 7 & Year 8
After successfully beating Sherburn High School in the regional final of this competition at the Keepmoat Stadium, our girls now move on to the next stage of the competition where they get to represent Doncaster Rovers in the area competition. This competition will be hosted by Sheffield United and will take place at Leisure United Westfield in Sheffield. This will provide the girls with an opportunity to test themselves against other regional final winners.
Leeds Trinity University - Year 12
The PE Department is arranging an educational visit to Leeds Trinity University. This should give the students an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of higher education PE courses and the opportunities available specifically at Leeds Trinity University.
Indoor Athletics Competition - Year 8 & Year 10
We are giving our talented athletes the opportunity to represent Trinity Academy in the Doncaster Schools Indoor Athletics Competition at The English Institute of Sport, Sheffield. This will give the students an excellent opportunity to compete against students from other Doncaster Secondary Schools in a purpose-built Indoor Athletics arena.
Rugby Competition - Year 9
The PE Department is participating in the ESF Foundation Rugby Competition. This will students an exellent opportunity to represent Trinity Academy and compete against the other schools in the ESF family.
