At Trinity Academy we recognise that the transition from primary to secondary school is a big one, not just for children, but also for parents. For this reason, we partner closely with our feeder primary schools and wider schools in the authority to make the transition process as smooth as possible.

The transition process begins in Year 5 when we invite children from our feeder schools to attend a special science transition event, and to take part in an annual sports competition. We also meet many students during special reward evenings such as ‘The Christmas Disco’ ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ and ‘The Summer Ball’ for those students who have excellent attendance and behaviour. During the course of Year 6 we also offer a range of competitions from different departments and rewards events. These range from story competitions to technology projects. Through these events children become familiar with the outstanding staff and facilities at Trinity.

At the start of Year 6 we hold our Year 6 Open Evening. This year, our Year 6 Open Evening will be virtual. This will include an introduction by the school principal, Mrs Wendy Adeniji, and a guided tour by our very own star, Maisie Marsh (Year 8)

Due to the special circumstances we find ourselves in with Coronavirus some of our usual events are being altered to ensure we stay safe and work within the government guidelines. Please rest assured that we will continue to find ways to make the transition to Trinity Academy as smooth and natural as possible.
